The 1st Global COE International Symposium
"The Bright Career Design of PhD holders"

About Global COE program:
This is a major project of MEXT (ministry of education, culture, sports, science and technology), which supports formation of internationally acclaimed educational studies' centers, by inheriting basic ideas of the 21st Century COE Program.
In Chemistry, Material Science, the Global COE program "Chemistry Innovation through Cooperation of Science and Engineering" has already began from Summer 2007 academic year.
This is exactly what University of Tokyo has done by assimilating 21st COE centers between school of science and school of engineering in a developing way.
Outline of Symposium:
This symposium focuses on providing advice and guidance with students from PhD holders of this university concerning what they think through their actual experiences.
This would be done as a part of "Chemistry Innovation through Cooperation of Science and Engineering". Speakers are organized internationally, and half of them would be non- Japanese who have registered at this university.
